Neer's Passing is surreal...

and i hear about it via site news *just* shy of my 16 anniversary since i got on this site. to say its been a mainstay and a fantastic way to meet new people ever since the beginning is an understatement of the century. it's been crucial for people to migrate to from other sites when they shuttered, and with such a presence its been instrumental in having the furry fandom be an industry in it's own right.
ive witnessed the site at first not having a working search engine, being bought by IMVU of all things, and that shrek dancing video, the downtimes during server changes in size and scale. this place is kinda like a library of old smut. you can go look at stuff, though theres a fair bit less of it, from when it was just fresh at my joining. I'm nostalgic over allot of that old stuff, and none of it would been possible if Dragoneer wasnt around to keep this site afloat even a little, or allot. Him no long with us is not only sad, but it feels a bit ominous to me, for some reason. Oh and the US healthcare system is a sick joke. Maybe having healthcare being a commodity is a dumb idea eh?
but regardless, my condolences fro Neer's friends and loved ones.
