actually - no, at first I treated it as unrealistic nonsense, the rational part of me told me that everything was fine, you shouldn't worry, but being taught by experience on the example of the war in Ukraine, when literally everyone said that NOTHING would happen and nothing would start, and then you wake up from explosions at 4 a.m., the disturbing part of me still left links, just in case. Maybe I'm comparing something that can't be compared, but somehow it affected not only my perception, but a lot of people. Everyone wants to be safe, I think it's okay?

At the moment, in order not to continue to disperse the panic and not force others to follow my example, I decided to delete the links (anyway, they are still on my profile page) and share this journal.

Just a note but don't use discord links externally anymore, the signature at the end of the link expires after a day so it won't work outside of discord (you can repost it in discord to generate a new one but that will also expire)

Reason being that the internet is wonky and nothing is forever.
Just like deviant art, a site can always change in the hands of someone random.
I don't know who the site goes to in the event of something like this happening.
Its always good to be ready for the worst.
I could be paranoid of course but i've had entire games, entire clubs, entire communities fall apart in the matter of months, things shift around. The site could even become better! but still. I want people to know I'm not just on this site.

The trolls are having a field day on 'Neers passing, and quick to spread all sorts of 'facts' on him. Admittedly some are quite true , some fabricated. Plus FA is already a target for anti-furs, including cyber attacks. After all, we are nothing but "Fur Fags" , "Animal fuckers" and worse, sadly thanks to a few actual real cases that have blackened the eye of the fandom. We as a group will sadly always have those bad apples, and as each one is taken down, another one or two crop up to continue the fodder for the trolls.

But 'Neer also went deep in debt buying back the site from IMVU and its software system is outdated. And since theres no solid proof what the end game is for the fate of the site. Whos going to take our flagship towards the future and sail on, or are we going to the scrappers in the end, its service done.

I just hope somehow FA survives and serves on. But at the same time, I gotta worry about backing up a few thousand images I've done the past 18 plus years and look for a new home thats even remotely equal to FA.
