RIP Dragoneer
I never really knew you, but FA opened my world and made me discover so many great artists and people.
I still can't believe you left like that, the US "healthcare" is absolute garbage.
Rest in peace, man.

besides health care systems always have problems due to resource allocation; socialized healthcare has long wait lists while non socialized health care have a problem over insurance coverage, which to a point there so much that there can be done either way.
If not, go and see them.
(Use the browser search function to look up "health insurance"
Also literally a tweet from dragoneer admitting to do so and how it affected his mental health medications too. https://twitter.com//Dragoneer/stat.....73257428463616
That's what I'm more focused on. Even if it was just 1 year, it would've at least given him time to settle his affairs before dying. No one deserves to die while they're in the middle of trying to get some medical intervention, regardless of their life circumstances. Do you not have any sense of sympathy for anyone who loses their life? Or do you just look for reasons to say "oh, they're just gonna die anyone. IDK why everyone's so worked up and blaming healthcare."
About how he could of live longer, Like all modern system socialized or privatized, they're both flawed and convoluted yet keep in mind that the insurance problem dragoneer had wouldn't of been as much as a problem if he didn't SOLD HIS HEALTH INSURANCE look at the posted sources/links above if you need to.
I only have more complex feelings towards people I care about. Not dynastic Ecelebs. It's pointless for me to feel deeply about Dragoneer. Dragoneer was a distant figure in the internet, and has personality traits and past actions that makes me not really fond of him. But if it was someone I dearly loved. I would still be disappointed and frustrated that the family or actual close friend didn't take care of one's health better enough if one had control over it.
2. I'm not defending Dragoneer's mismanagement of his health either. But I do believe the healthcare system, along with other factors like the cost of running this website, made contributing factors to why he didn't survive. He sold his health insurance, sure. But that doesn't excuse not even getting the help needed just because he didn't have the money. The reason why a lot of people are blaming the US healthcare is because of how predatory the system itself is. Maybe some are just looking for a bad guy to point at, sure. But honestly? Blaming Dragoneer does nothing to help and just looks like victim blaming. I dunno about you, but just let people rage. You're more likely to just make yourself look like an ass by making it Dragoneer's own fault for dying.
3. I don't feel deeply about Dragoneer either, but I guess you would feel somewhat different with a loved one, but still victim-blamey.
You literally are going back into a circle of devaluing Dragoneer's responsibilities and bringing in political points. It's still vapid-ness of the original twitter poster to try to inject political rhetoric acting as if he cared about dragoneer while he's trying to enforce his rhetoric of an ongoing divisive issue. This is all hypothetical points that is irrelevant since He didn't make it easier on himself either and drastically hindered himself by not being responsible enough to understanding what he's up against in a flawed world and went in hubris behavior in smoking and other unhealthy behaviors.
So what about the system? let me be hypothetical too, if it was a socialized healthcare system how would it be for sure that Dragoneer wouldn't be on a waiting list that would cause the waiting to kill him? I mean the US might fail to apply a socialized healthcare system which would make it a moot point since even with best intention would fail. (Vermont, researched into having state health care and found out the system could not be applied due to costs.) applying it to the us would be the same just proportionally. you would still bring it complex dynamics that brings in new problems too. like how I referenced problems in europe.
I look like an asshole because people think I'm an asshole due to their pass expectations of "ought to bes". That's their misunderstanding and I honestly am not going to be a stressed technician in optics. I am just expressing my points so people know how I came to my conclusions and so to share my opinions, my opinions are not that made by people wanting to partake in a spectacular experience and having
Dragoneer being only a person that is blanketed in mythological like stories to falsely praise him as some sort of admirable figure.
IDK, I'm not smart enough to understand how healthcare systems work. But I do know they shouldn't cost a literal arm and leg just to book an appointment or something.
OK, fair enough.
Honestly I hate when people are put on a pedestal. But at least wait a while and let people grieve. Emotions are gonna run high, and one of the outlets is talking about them as some hero figure. Just let them get it out of their system first, and then share your views. Time and place for everything, that's why I'm looking at you as a bit of an asshole, and people running on emotions will tune out or even flat-out ignore assholes. That'll make it a bit harder for you to get your point across if no one listens and just calls you an asshole.
It's fine to share your opinions, but please consider how other people are feeling first, because humans are flawed and emotional reactions are much easier to do than listening to someone else with a differing opinion. I was and kinda still am tempted to react emotionally towards you still, which is why I kept bringing up "victim blaming" to hand wave your position.
