Rest in Peace, Dragoneer
Found out last night that
passed away. I didn’t know him all too well, and yes, I know he made some mistakes and people had their criticisms of him—rightly so. But you can’t deny he was an important figure in the furry fandom. Without FA many artists never would have made the friendships and bonds they now have. Many furry artists never would have gotten their start if not for Furaffinty. You can’t deny that.
And to hear he died while trying to get a diagnosis for his illness and simultaneously getting raked through the coals by the US “healthcare” system is tragic. No one deserves to have their last days spent in fear and hardship and yet it happens all too often. The system failed him.
He may be gone, but it’s like he said:
"So long as FA exists, a bit of them will, too. They left their mark on the fandom, no matter how small. Sometimes the most important thing a person can ever say is "I was here."“
Rest in Peace, dude. Thank you for all you did for the fandom.
