On Dragoneer's passing and FA's future...

I will not repeat the platitudes and memories that others have shown. The feeling is mutual. My only interaction with him was at Anthrocon many years ago, short and brief. It looked like he needed a breather from the Controversy Of The Day, so I let him be.
That said, I want to turn to FA's future. Scroll all the way down. You see that the footer? "Frost Dragon Art LLC", the company that owns FA. Dragoneer didn't directly own the site but put it into a company.
What next happens is best quoted from lawyer Buddy Goodboy Esq (not that Buddy):
FurAffinity is owned by Frost Dragon Art, LLC. If they had multiple members, or had a transfer-on-death provision in their operating agreement, ownership changes hands immediately and with no problems. Otherwise, it goes through probate to determine, according to Neer’s will, who would own it.
Nothing’s happening immediately regardless. An administrator will be appointed for Dragoneer’s estate, whose duty is to maintain all property pending investigation into what needs to happen next. Nothing is going anywhere.
So lets give the admins and family time to grieve and gather themselves. If you haven't backed up your FA, it may be a good time to do so.

Details are still sketchy at this time. I'm waiting for something more solid. There's theories that it was related to his recent health problems.
