You wanna know the mark of stupid luck? Detect succeeding 5 times in a row, delaying the inevitable. I've seen a Let's Play of Emerald Version & it was caught on Camera of a Meditite getting off 5 successful Detects in a row. I'd say, seeing Fire Blast, Thunder, Blizzard or Focus Blast hitting at all, let alone 5 times in a row, is luckier than getting off Detect or Protect 5 times in a row. Do you KNOW the chances of EITHER succeeding 5 turns in a row? It lowers every consecutive time they succeed.

I have seen that happen when I was watching Chuggaaconory let's playing emerald and Meditite pulling Detect 5 times in a row.
But what confuses me is Burmy when you first catch it, when you catch it at first, all it knows is protect and nothing else, which is like using nothing but detect for 5 turns

Hey, remember that time in his LP of Fire Red when he Roasted himself while trying to catch Moltres? Or maybe the time in his initial LP of Paper Mario when he got 68 Star Points off General Guy because of Merluvlee's Spell activating to double his star points from 34 to 68?

I'll be honest, I have never watched his Fire Red Let's play, I only found out about him from his SUPER OLD videos of catching Dialga and Palkia in the Japanese Platinum Version
