Mink: I'm really interested in the administrative/political side of the Compound. What makes it tick? How can it function better? What more can I learn about it?

I've read a lot about the history, but some parts are obscured. Are they missing, or do I just need a higher rank to be able to gain access to it?

I'm also really enjoying all the college level courses I'm able to take in the online school. I want to see how many degrees and certifications I can get. I wonder if that counts as a collection hobby? Collecting degrees? Probably.

Are there times you like to give up control to someone else, and if so what kinda person do you prefer in those times?

Spade: Well, once a month Faction Lords are required to submit to a current or former Faction Lord, you know, to keep us humble. I usually choose Heart, but sometimes I chose Club as like, a gift to him, ya know? He hates me cause Heart likes me more. Besides Heart, I guess Yuki, but she's not a Faction Lord yet.

For Lady Diamond: Do you ever accept unruly or disobedient slaves into your faction with a plan of breaking/training them or does the Diamond faction only have interest in perfecting already-compliant slaves? And if the former, do you enjoy that challenge?

Diamond: No one is perfect when they come to me. Each slave is their own unique mess. I break all of them down and rebuild them so their minds are still and quiet like undisturbed snow.

I found the fandom through other artists, then from me looking at art, but I found FA cause a friend recommended the site.

S4S Magic: In ages past ( few thousand years) magic was used by creatures call mythos. (dragons/pheonix/griffin etc) and they ruled the world and enslaved the regular non magic anthros. then a big war happened and a lot of mythos perished, now a small group of them live in a magical domed city in Antarctica. The type of magic is all kinds. elemental, psychic, emotional.

The world is geographically similar (mostly) but as we will learn later, astrological events happened when the world was new and that created all these animal-people rather than humans.
I'll get more in depth into it in the comic.

Lady Heart took pity on the snake creatures and kept them in that pit. they shouldn't be able to be accessed but the labyrinth the heart slaves were making grew a bit to big into the snake territory. the snake creatures aren't dumb animals but they also aren't of human level intelligence. usually they are just hunted down/exterminated.

Nobles. A while back, the mythos realized their numbers were dwindling and they have a very low birth rate. so they started mating with anthros on the one in a million chance it would produce a magical offspring. The decedents of these parings that aren't magical are nobles. Odds of producing a magical child increase if the mate already has mythos blood, so usually only nobles are picked for breeding. There's also a chance for a noble and a noble to produce magical offspring (its like winning the status lottery, so its a big deal who nobles choose to mate with. )

Cody's Grandma: My grandson left me a note. (the compound left her a note posing as cobalt) I know boys get the bug to go on a journey, and I know he was struggling. Though I wish he would of said goodbye before he left. I would of baked him something for his journey.

For the other families, usually they get a note or the 'police' tell them they have run away. depending on the family, they don't really look too hard.
For mink's family, they know she is at the compound, but because mink is there, her family is not able to visit the compound (not that they would of anyways. besides having to be there for diplomatic or political purposes (the compound is seen as a nationally neutral zone so other countries use it as a meeting place) the rest of the compound is seen as a lawless las Vegas. since the societal rules tend to differ greatly from the regular world.

Hi, I just recently read all of the comic and the extras and they gave me a few questions so I am happy I can ask them now.

Firstly I noticed in one of the comments you mentioned spade spent almost double the average time in the testing chamber as the other faction lords. This gave him more powers and worse ptsd. Can I ask what made this happen, lore wise. Did spare ask for it or did the faction lords or even Gspade decide that would happen as an experiment?


Secondly, when a faction lord completes part 2 training and the testing chamber stint do they instantly become the new faction lord and the old one retires or is it when the old and new agree to switch over? (Ignoring club faction)

Finally in the diary of fens first meeting of spade you mentioned you lost the second part and I was wondering if you found it or if I could get a quick synopsis of it?


I was surprised by how much I liked your comic and just want to say the humour and fantasy mix so well. Great backstory and world building. Good work I can’t wait too see the next pages (I check every day-).

Spade and the testing chamber:
Spade spent double the time because his mind wasn’t breaking at the usual points. They had to figure out new and different methids to reach the milestones he was supposed to reach.

After the chamber they are given a rest period and a final test to asses their competency. Then a ceremony happens and the new faction lord takes over.

In part two of when Fen meets Spade:

Fen meets Spade at a motel, spade ties fen to a bed and had him admit all the bad stuff he’s done. Spade then “rapes” fen to instill some humility and awareness in him. (So fen can feel what his victims felt) then let’s fen fuck him.
Then spade explains more about the compound and how fen can help people and atone for his past transgressions.
Spade gives fen one more week of his regular life to tie up any loose ends. Fen goes to school as normal, tells no one he’s leaving, hugs his parents then meets spade back at the parking lot and they go to the compound.

Fen is then trained as spades slave then trained as a dominant.

General question, going all the way back to chapter one..... What was the website Cobalt happened to stumble upon to (accidentally) apply to be a slave in the first place? Just curious so that folks such as myself don't "accidentally" stumble across it ourselves.....

The Compound has different ways of reaching new applicants. Former slaves working as bartenders, porn producers, or therapists. But some people in need, like Cobalt, stay inside on the computer all day.

Once a potential applicant is on the radar, they are reviewed to see if they would be a good fit for the compound. If they are, they are "recruited"

So the answer is, you've prolly already been to the site or met people that work for the Compound and if you were in need of their services, you would have been taken already.

Tatsu: Honestly I haven't given too much thought to the comic's world in china. What I do know is that it's much larger than it is now. The mythos war created countries that are much larger in size than they are on our map. So china would expand into the middle east, up into Russia, and down into Malaysia.

Yes, The ice dragon blood infusion was apart of my cousin Yen's medical capstone project about trying to infuse anthro's with mythos blood.
