And doth the Drygerskunk posteth: As of Aug 13th, 2024 at 12 noon, I am no longer employed. The company I've been with for over 8 years has let me go. This was due to a combination of bad timing and chaotic nature of the business.
And I'm burnt out.
I'm taking the rest of the week to recover. I am being paid for the rest of my time plus PTO, and next month is already covered via the severance package. My (old) boss is putting out feelers, as well as my (old) team lead, for programming jobs, but I will be hitting the job market soon.
Commissions will be picked back up during this time, now that I actually have free time. I just got to get back in proper headspace.
