Eclectic Clay at Fursonacon update
EDIT: IT'S NOT COVID! My son had a faintly positive test so I assumed, but since then no one else has had a positive test, him included.
Mark me among those who have fallen to the summer wave of Covid.
I'm not yet sure what this means for my attendance at Fursonacon; the current plan is to test the Tuesday before and proceed as planned if negative. If still positive, I'll see if I can find someone to go with my booth assistant to represent me. If not, I'll have to bow out.
It's painful to post this, honestly. I've been really looking forward to this con, for the chance to see my sister-in-law's house in person for the first time, to meet new people and maybe play some rpgs. I've been working really, really hard on a new show piece and was so genuinely excited to show it to everyone. That it's at risk is upsetting.
I can only deal with the reality of what's in front of me, though, so for now it's tea and rest, and entertaining the kids as we isolate. and setting up plan B. Wear those masks, folks.
