How effective are FA's "Keywords/tags"?

Idk if anyone even reads these anymore but HEEEERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOO! WA-HOO!
For the past... oh, four some-odd years, I have not been tagging my content. I have never seen the point of it due to never having used FA's search feature before. Instead, I've used e621 and have been redirected to FA from posts I was interested in.
I've been informed that this was a mistake. I guess FA's search feature is *actually* used? I've no clue.
tl;dr - should I tag my content here?
P.S. I don't need help on how to tag, I'm simply seeking if I SHOULD tag.

I use tags and I search tags.
It could help with getting more attention depending on your content and what is tagged.
