I wanted to address something someone mentioned on a Discord channel I'm on. That person basically said we shouldn't sink to the hacker's level and start a "witch hunt." There are rumors going around (particularly X) suggesting that the hacker was identified and payed heavily for it, but that doesn't mean it's the truth. These are rumors for a reason, even if something seems like the truth doesn't mean it is the truth. So we should wait to hear what the proper law inforcements have found, like the admins posted. Even if the rumors were true, even if the trolling and clowning and revenge is well deserved on the hacker, we shouldn't innact on this. The hacker messed up, and they will be fully punished for theirdisgusting acts in due time. What we should do is be thankful the site is back and running again, change our passwords, and go about our day. Let's put this drama behind us. I'm just glad everything turned out fine.
