Is my commission prices to high?
Just wondering If my commission prices are not set right for the current times for the fandom.
I know times are tough and everyone is on a budget these days. I am experiencing it right now, trying to make ends meet as well.
So are these rates for commission to high?
Commission prices for one figure poses...
$60 Rough sketch.
$90 Digital inks.
$125 Flat colors.
$150 shaded colors.
$15 - $30 for each extra character(s).
$10 - $75 for backgrounds depending on details.
With digital AI around, what is a good price for a commission from us furry/human artist?
It's been awhile since I posted artwork here on Fur affinity, or any other fur sites. What does the fandom want me to draw for them. What do you want to see. Input and comments are welcome.

Also, if you have the tech, maybe have streams for digital art and/or hand drawn stuff for extra love.
The fandom usually wants you to draw whatever you want them to draw. As long as they're willing to pay. Other than that, you have a style and a motif, so focus on that.
I had gotten this amazing Digital Ink + 1 Variation, together for $75 from SabreKenji:

Usually when I think something may be to expensive or cheap, I tend to compare quality and time spent with work I've gotten in the past.
But of course, this is only base on my own personal opinions and experiences in buying Coms.
Also to consider is International Currency Exchange Rates.
I am USD, and some other International artists may charge more or less due to their country's exchange rates, and even Inflation at the time.
All in all, multiple things of consideration what may be fair to both the artist versus client.
Even with considerations to take into account, it all still boils down to what YOU personal feel at pricing your work.
If you're not getting the kind of uptake that you hoped for, I might not worry too much for a few reasons: 1) FA was inaccessible for days and I think that will depress overall traffic for a while as people are still cautious about logging into the site, 2) It's late summer and a lot of people are busy elsewhere, and 3) As you mentioned, I think most people are not spending on luxuries. Times are a bit tough, so do keep trying. Keep posting, stay active as you can, and I think people will come to you.
Maybe you could price a sketch lower, as those don't take long and you can squeeze them out quickly.
I've had people say a price is too high when I've set my prices, but a price is a filter. If it's not worth it to them, then you don't have to draw it, and I assume you'd rather draw your own art than commissions (who wouldn't?) so it can work out positively in that way as well. The price has to be worth it for you and justify you making the effort to draw someone else's interest. People talk about worth but don't realize that when they're getting it cheaper from someone else, it's likely that artist was underpricing, not that you were overpricing. Art SHOULD be more expensive because it's labor.
Let's just say that it is FAR from a lack of interest in your art, and I'd imagine a lot of other people are very much interested as well
Sure things are tough in the economy right now, but there are people that commission with these prices quite often too.
Maybe if business hasne't caught up well yet, is because you just recently start reposting works.
I good idea there is to sit and do simple works here and there, and post some more to public places, to get more attention to your sites, and to patreon as well.
At least that is my opinion.
So hopefully having 2 types of art styles might be the right path to go with.
Another good idea, could be to make small events now and then too, like a few limited slots on sales and so on.
Captaingerbear does some live streaming of similar commissions, and i have been opening now and then sales for commissions too, and tbh, it has helped to get attention this way too. the small sales have helped me get by a little better, while also to get attention for full price commissions as well.
During my time at the furry convention. Used to do those small con badges sketches for $1 to $10. They were quick sales and popular. Trying to come up with an idea of a quick unique drawings that cost around $50 or less.
The idea can be that you open a few slots each time, the commissioner can provide only 2 things: the oc they want you to draw, and the theme of the sketch. and with those two you sit and make a commission with full artistic freedom and draw what you see best, as long as they are inside your ToS, and what you draw and don't.
at first you can open like 3- 4 slots for this , that can be first come, first served, and when more people come, you can make like a random wheel to choose names of whom to draw. The names that will get picked will be your commissioners, and after they pay you, yo do their skethes, then the names can be put to the side, so other commissioners may chave a chance to get a slot too and so on.
Because seriously your works looks great ^^
The only one I'd say could maybe be a bit cheaper would be your rough sketches, and that's mostly in the case that this piece of yours should be a rough sketch, of course. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57891912/
Especially with prices in the US being, that money doesn't go as far as it once did.
