Like I said in one of my last journals, life has been pretty busy this summer. There was a bit of turnover as some of my co-workers moved on to other (probably better paying) jobs. Which also meant training a lot of new hires. Some of them are pretty good, but others have been working so slowly that it feels like they're moving through molasses at times. They aren't but that's what it feels like during summer's "go!go!go!" pace.

Which means that it's been hard to still have energy left to sit down and write a bunch of stuff.

I've also been reading and giving notes on  EricMalves work. Been trying to be thorough about it.

Also also, I've still been making progress on my cookbook! Well, the recipe testing part that is. The plans for the narrative have been laid for a couple years now. I just need to finish getting these recipes locked in! There's just 14 more recipes that I need to work out. All the others are either almost there or locked in. Plus some of the remaining recipes, I'm confident will only take like 3 iterations to get right. The most recent recipes I've been working on are the lemonade recipes. I just locked in the Raspberry Lemonade recipe with some progress on the regular lemonade and very little progress on the Strawberry Lemonade. I'm feeling good about this!

ALSO also, I'm still working on a photo series for this Halloween. It'll be my primary focus for September, just so that I can get it all done and ready to go before spooky month starts.

Which sadly means that Draconis chapter 12 is still on hold for the time being. There's just too many other projects that need my attention more right now. I swear I'll finish it at some point, but I just need to get this other stuff off my plate first.
