So first off

So I’m exiting the stage of stressing about stuff and entering the stage of laughing about the odds of everything , so I’m gonna tell you guys about it now so we can all giggle about bad timing and bad luck

So a few months back I was feeling pretty secure, having saved without any major incidents for a while— I’m always very scared of making big purchases but my friend helped me out and pushed me to finally commission a custom fursuit head after many many years in the fandom, this was a big big thing to me, I try not to splurge much ever, like I second guess every 20 dollar purchase XD

Well fast forward to now,

In the last like month or two,

My tablet (this is what I work on, I don’t have a computer) started acting up, took it to get diagnosed and the worker was like ‘yeah you may want to just replace it, changing the battery will only be a temporary fix’
So I was like, okay cool it’s not urgent, I can still use it so I’ll start saving now so I don’t panic later

And then I went to the dentist because one of my molars broke,
They look it over and are like, okay you need to go to a specialist to get it root canaled because your wisdom teeth basically crushed your one molar beyond fillings, and APPARENTLY, they also cracked two other molars that I didn’t even realize
And they wanted me to get my wisdom teeth out as soon as this is all done

So I went to the specialist, wallet, cried in pain, apparently they don’t put a cap on the tooth so I have to do another separate appointment with my dentist for them to complete the cap

Before the cap appointment, Went back to regular dentist for them to fix the two less cracked molars . The assistant made a joke about how small my mouth is

Two days later I went back for them to do the cap (which by the way was the most painful procedure so far)
They finish preparing the broken tooth for the cap, then told me ‘yeah so you’re going to have to go to a different specialist, YOUR MOUTH IS TOO SMALL, there’s no room for them to put a cap on the tooth, I literally have to go to a surgeon to steal some of my gums and then let it heal for 8 weeks, before I can get a permanent cap, and I have to schedule it immediately because the temporary cap is only made of acrylic and not meant to last a long time
And I’m not getting a real answer on how much it will cost till I’m evaluated by the surgeon outside of ‘ yeah it’s gonna cost a lot’
And on top of that I can’t get my wisdom teeth out till after it’s all done

I laugh, the furry gods are punishing me for splurging one heckin time
