What is redwall series?

Ok, wow, enough with everyone's goddamn negativity. The Redwall series has been ongoing since the mid 80's. This journal was in enthusiastic "what if" ness to the possibility that we would have had movies, on par or better than NIMH, nearly every 2 years or so.

You didn't get what I was actually talking about, which doesn't really concern Redwall, but rather that Don Bluth studios has a tendency to make lousy movie sequels to their great films. No, Redwall films would be pretty cool, I think. :)

Actually, I don't think Bluth has ever done a sequel to any of his films.... >.> The studios do turn around and hire low-rent animation companies to do them, however. =P

Yeah, that's what I said. He's heavily involved with the first films, and they turn out great. Then.. out of nowhere, the cash-in sequels arrive. I think that's funny. :D

I'm re-reading the Marlfox novel, and I think Bluth would have filled it with WIN.

Which novel would you want to see animated first? (excluding Redwall, Matimeo, and Martin the Warrior. Nelvana did them and they were awesome).

In the order they were published, right after they were published. So we woulda got one like every two years or so

I'm several books behind in the series as it is, though; I need to get caught up.

I thought the British animated series of Redwall, Martin the Warrior, and Mattimeo were pretty well done and cute. But seriously, I'd love to see all of them done too, or at least some of the really good ones. Bluth would do a good job, but I'd love to see the likes of Studio Gibli do it. If even just one book were done, Mossflower or Pearls of Lutra or something, it needs to be EPIC in story and visually. Studio Gibli could pull it off like they did with Princess Mononoke and such. Yes, I've had wet dreams about this for years.

I said Bluth because it would have such a NIMH feeling to it. Ghibli would just, wow, be amazing as well. Or, what if, oh shit, Bluth and Ghibli WORKED TOGETHER ON THEM @___@ oh lawd

I havn't read all the RW books. I saw the RW animated series. A Bluth version of RW... would there be time for a just-this-side of kid friendly romance montauge with a barmaid or a builder slave or something?
It might be enough to bring back the NIHMatrix. :)
