(Update 9/12) Scam targeting writers
Anyone on here that writes, careful of this. There's people around doing a very specific scam that sometimes follows a certain progression each time, but not always. Here's what I know of that process:
- They send a PM with the subject "Greetings!", where they ask how things are going with you
- They ask whether they're bothering you
- They compliment your stories, also asking if you're the one that wrote them
- They say they have an idea for your stories, and ask if you want to hear it
- They say they want to turn your stories into comics
That's as far as I got. If they don't use that, they give a bunch of generic unspecific compliments because they're talking through a template. They also generally have stolen art posted so it's not just an empty account, and sometimes a name that involves art in some way ("draws", "art(s)", "design(s)", etc.). Look for comics with empty speech bubbles, they post those a lot for some reason. Here's the people that have tried this on me:
- MikkiDraws01
- TakouraDraws
- Dreamiisarah
- TripsyBack
- Gigiall (Also on Artstation)
- Flumsy-Arts (Also on Artstation, as Sofiaartisty)
- YumiDesigns01 (On IB as YumiDesigns)
- IzukuDraws01
- Oliver-Draws
- IsabellaJamess
- KiaraJohn01 (They and the previous one work together)
- Avenia1
- ericawilliam
- AveniaArtist (Same as Avenia1?)
- ElenaBelle
- lunabelle02 (Said they were Elena Belle, which was pretty funny)
- fluffydoodle
Feel free to comment the names of any you find. Here's who's been added by the community:

"Hello,
Stumbled across your "The Horror Beyond Our Reality" on Furaffinity and was immediately hooked. The story's got a real spark – the twists and emotional depth are compelling, and I instantly pictured it as a visually dynamic comic.
I'm Benny Oliver, a professional comic and character illustrator, and turning stories like yours into vibrant visuals is what I do. I've built a solid freelance career (Fiverr, Upwork – you might have seen me around), but now I'm focusing on partnering directly with writers on passion projects. "The Horror Beyond Our Reality" feels like one of those.
I'm comfortable working with a wide range of character styles, from cartoon and anime to furry and realistic. I'm confident I can capture the unique feel of your world and characters, whatever their design."
