I GOT A JOB!!! .... offer at least!
Oh my goodness... thank God... I got an offer for a remote job! A good one!
On Wednesday I had an interview with a Washington State Health Network company. It was the same company with which I applied for an Environmental Systems Trainer position in April. They turned me down for that, but apparently I left a big impression on the hiring manager, Josh. Didn't think anything of it, until I went through more job applications and saw a position for a project scheduler. I'm well versed in that, so I applied.
Got an interview request almost immediately. I followed up with the interview on Wednesday morning, only to find 'Josh' there, smiling. He told me he was so very happy to see my name in the interview, because he was thinking of me with this job posting, and how he was going to have the recruiter reach out to me if I didn't apply. This already made me feel VERY happy.
During the interview, we talked about my penchant for schedules and calendar entries, and how well it'd work for this position. It is also admin support for the manager, but I was already doing that in my last job, just indirectly. And Josh told me he had a couple more interviews, but he would try to get a reply to me yesterday. It never happened. So I went to my interview with the state patrol this morning as if I didn't get the job.
I turned off my phone, so of course it went to voice mail when they called during my interview. (Naturally, great timing!) When i got home and got the news, I called back, and there was the offer right in front of me! I eagerly accepted!
I haven't signed anything yet - it's a remote job, so they need to mail in the contracts and whatnot to me. BUT THEY GAVE ME AN OFFER! However, a wise friend of mine told me to continue as if I didn't have the job until I have something signed. So I will. But I will not be searching for any more jobs - just finishing out the interviews I have scheduled in the next week.
Until I get it signed, it's not over, but there is light at the end of this long, painful tunnel. The job starts October 7, so I have September to get things in order, and maybe... just maybe... travel a bit. I have some airline miles... and I could use a few days celebration. <3
Thank you all for your love and support in this dark time. I'm so relieved, thankful, happy... I haven't smiled this much in a long, long time.

Perseverance does pay off and I remain in admiration of yours for what you've weathered. I hope it grows into something better, but goodness I can just imagine this already is a bit of a weight off your head. Best of luck following this course! If you find yourself taking time to relax and celebrate, please enjoy yourself. In proper voop fashion. :)
Note that the above doesn't exclude breathing a huge sigh of relief though.
**YES!!**
Oh thank fucking blooness.
HUZZAH!
Hereβs hoping that the only job search problems you have remaining is when a couple other interviews go this well, and you have multiple great offers to choose from.
*and another*
*and a third for good measure*
Congrats!
Wait? State Patrol?
Still, fantastic news. So happy for you.
