Seeking Help For Writer's Block
hOI!!!!!!!
I’m officially feeling ‘Writer’s Block’. I feel inspired to write, but I have no clue what to write about.
Anybody got any advice? Should I go rework some of my previous stories? Perhaps I should open up commissions to seize upon my inspiration while I attempt to think of something worthwhile to write about?
Thank you for your time and any suggestions you may have.
Your Pal,

FA+

and don't force yourself on it if it takes more time to get it back.
Again, I thank you for your time and support.
What I do, is usually focus on other projects for the time being. or if I insist on writing it, write a chunk of it, take a walk or otherwise, write, take a chunk, and so on.

I must applaud you for how much writing you've been able to get done over the past year. It is beyond impressive. It's also extra astounding how much work you have been doing to improve upon your current story releases. (I have your stories downloaded to my phone, but Kindle is still a bit rough to operate with the built-in, screen reading software of my iPhone. When I have some more free time to do so, I am going to commit to figuring out the best way to work Kindle so I can give you my thoughts on Age of Merchants and Solemson Inferno.).
Keep up the great work, Lanny. Again, I thank you for your kindness and assistance. :)

I've forgotten to ask, but do you ever put together Gundam models? Peep does and I wasn't sure if you did, too.
*Snugs* Thanks, Tacki!
Another thing that helps me is combining various notes/ideas. You see Pixar do this in the form of using a great scrapped idea originally created for one film for another, future film (Pixar always uses a writing group to create ideas too, as much as they usually have a single director who has a significant amount of control.)
To me, especially since I want to make money off my projects and have my projects keep my attention for a long time, my projects have to a certain level of high pretention for me to want to work on them at all. This is also why my current project, Just Animals, deals with so many genres and concepts. Also, with every original(ish) idea I add to a project, the more chance my project has in standing out!
If you're still experiencing the writers block I may suggest several things:
- Doing other activities you may like, maybe going to listen birds, walking outside, listening music, anything that can put your mind away and relax.
- You could also read some stories so you can get some inspiration from them, maybe even listening cartoons may help?
- Try to do a quick challenge. For example, having only one hour to write a story, so you can experiment with plots and ideas with a little bit of time pressure.
- You could try some random scenarios. Some websites have kind of randomizers proposing you names, locations, plots, and maybe you could try putting those elements.
I hope something of this can help you out Yosh. Sorry again.
Right now, I am off attending school to acquire a new Seeing Eye Dog. The schedule keeps us really busy from 5:30 AM until around 8:30 PM, but the time away from the computer, taking in a new environment, familiarizing myself with a new Seeing Eye Dog, and meeting other people here at the school has been really good for helping my mind to relax, think creatively, and know that there are still many great stories to tell.
So, in a way, you were just in time with your ideas, Sweetie. All of them, now that I have a far fresher mind to evaluate such options, will be something that I use to regain my ability, desire, and overall joy for writing. *Snugs* You are the best!
