Update - Getting Back to Work
Hey,
Long time, no journal!
Thanks again for all of your patience and understanding while I took my time getting into a better position to deal with my stress-fueled art burnout. I know it has been a while since I took this break (honestly, longer than I had hoped), but I believe I’m finally in a place where I can begin making art a priority in my life again. I wished to do this earlier, but a few stressful months dealing with moving, struggles at work, and falling off the proverbial drawing wagon made that infeasible.
All that is to say, is that I’m beginning to get myself back into a drawing rhythm in preparation to start working on art I owe ans stream again. This process might take a few weeks to get to the point where I am comfortable with the quality of art I can produce. Shake the rust off, you know?
In the meantime, I’ll be working on a few personal projects to help get me back up to speed, and possibly make stuff that you all might like to see.
Once I’m officially back, I’ll be sending notes to all current commission clients to make sure you’re all still good with the ideas you brought to the table back in November (so long ago…) and make any adjustments if necessary.
In other news, because of the take down of FurAffinity a few weeks back now, I have been looking to expand my reach on other platforms. This way not all my eggs are in one basket. I did try this many years back, but never kept up with (or left) them. If there are suggestions where a healthy TF community exists, I’d love to hear about them! Important to note, this in no way suggests I’m leaving or will be using/posting on FA any less than I usually do. I’ve been posting art here for 12 years now, and I have no intention of leaving that all behind. So far my list of platforms are: Twitter, Bluesky, Weasyl, Newgrounds (maybe?).
That’s all I have for this update really. After a few especially stressful weeks, I’ve been getting into my own personal rhythm after moving into my new place. I’m hoping that helps translate into helping this returning process.
Thanks,
Oter

Uhhmmm since you asked for suggestions about TF places: I dunno if you'd be interested in a Mastodon instance (it's not the hugest network around after all) but just in case, there's a reasonably populated TF-focused instance at https://transfur.social/
So far it seems pretty well-run to me!
Also there's a fair amount of TF content elsewhere on Mastodon. You can follow hashtags directly in your main feed, which I think is pretty neat.
