That is because the staff here that really botched the 2.7 updates can't even figure it out themselves. One says things people get banned for was no big deal to them, and the other uploads child-like images and uses FA Admin power to block people's comments about how hypocritical they are just to power trip (everyone knows the ones I'm talking about).
They are alienating so many people, they have allowed the p3d0 mobsters to hijack the place, and they can't run the place. That is why I refuse to ever post here anymore.
Itaku has a much better layout and all of the features this place has promised to add for over a decade.

I feel like if FA doesn't 'modernize', they will eventually fall. Many ither sites like Itaku, Deviant-art, Twitter, Bluesky, aryion, hell, even inkbunny are better options, and the reason why FA is still ahead is because many big artists dont want to start from scratch there.

Sadly they won't and it won't fail. There's been so many sites that have tried to take FA's place and some while not better at everything do have enough going for them that they should have. But furries (and by extension the larger non-furry population) are incredibly stubborn and creatures of habit. Look at Twitter, despite everything that goes on there, people still cling to that site and refuse to switch to anything else. It's the same here, because FA has been around for so long, the majority just does not want to move to send a message.

I think the thing that bothers me the most about that rule, is simply the fact that even the people in charge seem to be a little unsure as to what the heck it mean. I had a rather large back and forth when the change first happened, with no one being able to tell me how to avoid what their strange vibe check. And what bothers me the most about this whole thing, is how for some of the things I've commissioned, a character will be fine in one image, than suddenly in the next image they are deemed to be no longer okay.
