Mutenote links are restored. Rant is below:
Brilliant. After years of locking down on requests I've folded. FOR FRIENDS for fucking friends. Don't send me any goddamn notes asking for this or that please god
But yeah in a slightly desperate attempt to feel I've got some closer bond with people than i usually do I've plunged into asking them if they'd like anything. It's indulgent sure, but at the end of the day if they aren't going to buy anything and I can't bring myself to draw otherwise... couldn't hurt to set a little something in front of them to get their attention... right?
It doesn't hurt anyone and while yeah, being freelance with emphasis on the free sucks a little but... what else do I really do?
I don't watch shows. I don't read, I don't indulge in tech or gambling in games or games in general. I make shit, I get comms, then I fuck off to do my personal projects... which is usually just more making shit. Video projects, stupid memes, music, art, animation...
I started dipping into drawing backgrounds lately. You should see it in your submission box, the one with the two birds? I did that, and I'm proud of it. I actually painted a background for once in my life.
Do you care? I wouldn't know, and it doesn't matter. As long as you see it, smile, grimace, nod off and fall asleep at the keyboard, as long as you look, im happy.
And before you ask, yes, I've tried to get into new games. I tried Deadlock recently and it didn't hook me, like most things. (The game isn't bad, either. It's like Battleborn but "put's MOBA's on their head" as my boyfriend says). I tried Terraria many... many times and never could get invested, not yet anyway. I cant even play TF2, it's like I've been cursed.
So what has me interested?
Punch Out!!. For the Wii. Punch Out!! Wii is gorilla gripping my balls and I can't get enough of it. Who here plays Punch Out!! Wii? That's right; none of you. Who the fuck am I going to talk with about Punch Out!! Wii for a total of 2 months at most?
Anyway see you on your own time. Or just wait for me to barge in at mach 3 and throw ass art at you. Or my whole ass, it's a coin-flip really.

FA+

believe it or not I've wanted to play punch out wii for a while, boxing a literal gorilla sounds incredible
i just never got to it because I'm a disgusting sweat who plays rivals of aether
personally i fucking hate shooters LMAO i gave TF2 a fair chance but most shooters are the same to me, boring and repetitive, i could try suggesting games that are pretty unique if you wanted to try stuff that's more out there (i think punch out wii is one of those, you don't box DK everyday)
Mother 3: so far it's the only game that has made me cry, it's beautiful, the story is interesting, the characters are great and the music is amazing (especially for a GBA) i love the rhythm based combat and the mechanic where your health slowly drains instead of instantly updating adds a lot of tension and fun moments, btw if u have bad rhythm the combo mechanic isn't necessary to beat the game and there's different ways to deal way more damage than just combos
I think you can go straight to 3, the only things that carry over from earthbound is one of the villains and one room that's an homage to earthbound but has no effect on the story
Outer wilds: it's a 3D, first person exploration game with great world building, go in as blind as possible, it's main mechanic is using what you learn to find new clues of what's going on
Pikuniku: hard to describe, you just walk around and experience the world which is full of silly funny dumb stuff to do!
Night in the woods: there's too much going on in that game to describe in just a few sentences, more focused on characters and story than gameplay, it's like the counterpart to pikuniku since it's a lot more serious and very down to earth while having a similar gameplay and simpler shape style.
Anyways, as someone who has never read one book out of my own will i can say i actively talked to everyone trying to find all the dialogue i could get in NITW
Rhythm doctor: one of the best rhythm games, and it has story that's pretty engaging, at least imo, you play it with just one key but they do so many different things with one button it's crazy, there's even bosses, in a rhythm game, with one exception, every boss does something to change drastically the way you're used to playing
Katamari: i haven't played that one myself but i've seen others play it and it's very crazy and has a lot of personality, even the menus and the way characters talk is unique, and i love listening to the OST which is full of bangers, the sequel is very self aware about the fact that it's a sequel and i don't think i've seen another sequel to anything do that, fun fact: it was displayed at the museom of modern art in new york lol
there's a couple more games that i think are worth checking out but this is getting too long so i'll just mention them quickly: Chibi-robo (fix a broken marriage as a tiny robot simulator), ICO, katana zero, celeste, cross code, noita, rain world, REZ, Zineth (it's more like a demo?, it's on arcane kid's website not steam), BIT.TRIP series (if you decide to try it start with runner 2), hypnospace outlaw, YOMI hustle
