But anyway, the descriptions are a bit tough to come up with; I generally have certain formats in mind or patterns to make them flow a bit better, at least for me personally (sometimes they end up rather… wall-of-text-y, which doesn’t read very well.
Usually they’ll come from just a horny, passionate place; sometimes it requires a bit more goading or a bit of a mood. But usually it’s the patterns; dialogue, paragraph, dialogue, paragraph. Or just adding single sentences for sharper emphasis, etc.
The onomatopoeia is mostly experience and imagination. You have to imagine how a word is spelled when you imagine ehat it sounds like, and having done this for a while things like belches are particularly easy to create or exaggerate; lots of “BH” for beginnings and repetitious, sensible vowels.
what do you think is the worst thing about a cold? the snot poisoning or how much it makes your skin ache? cause I got a covid shot and the next day getting into the shower I thought I was freezing to death!
Depends on the cold and the severity, and my opinion keeps changing from cold to cold. This one was more about the fatigue and the inability to think straight. Mostly just coughing and a bit of faucet nose; at least it seems to have passed quickly for once.
Damn your description stories just keep being incredible! It's amazing how impactful and intense you can make them feel. I want to write like you, but struggle to actually write anything. How do you work up the motivation to actually write?
Hoo boy, I wish I had that motivation more often :p
A lot of it is just capturing lightning in a bottle. Sometimes it’s just a combination of being well rested and inspired; otter times it’s getting horny over something and just carrying that emotion over. Sometimes it’s just pretending until it works. Lately I’ve been doing RNG dice rolls for the sake of warmups; sometimes that gets the motor running.
To write intensely, you also have to be willing to be a little bit naked and willing to break the rules; it’s a bit like painting, really. Abuse those commas and semicolons; emphasize and pattern and emphasize again; alternate between italics and non italics for dialogue and paragraphs and use short sentences for even further emphasis. It’s a case by case basis. I suppose I make things a little different each time just for the sake of personal entertainment. Hmmm.
