I WOKE up and Amazon had taken over Tolkien. Must have something to do with it...

I hadn't bothered with the Amazon productions. Mainly because someone in my household ADORES them, and I know me. If it's as bad as I hear, I'll make fun of it relentlessly, and drive him nuts.

J. R. R. Tolkien is rolling in his grave because of the new LOTR media.

I adore Professor Tolkien's lifelong hard work, and for what he shared with us/the rest of the world. The Man was an utter genius in every way, and a literary Master to back it up!
I still adore/love what Sir Jackson and Crew did with 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Bravo, a thousand times over!
With the sole exception of Smaug (They NAILED him!), I really don't like and have never re-watched 'The Hobbit' movies. Far too many liberties taken from what Professor Tolkien wrote and was published, all for the sake of the Almighty $$$, and I won't even start going down the many twisted/warped Paths they threw in just for gratuities' sake.

Amazon?

You couldn't PAY ME enough $$$ to watch any of it. I trust very few people and their 'Reviews/Reactions' ("The Drinker" being one of the best of 'em!), and by that alone knew Amazon's rape of the 'Middle Earth' Universe wasn't worth a second of THIS life. I only wish I didn't have a 'Subscription' Membership with Amazon, knowing a scant few of my coinage contributed to it! (Sadly, I must use Amazon to obtain IRL things my local stores do not stock).

All things said, we have (And I pray always will), what Professor Tolkien wrote to cherish. When we feel that call to traipse back down those wonderful Paths, they're still there, waiting for us.

All of this makes me nervous about the fate of Redwall, another series written by a Catholic and war veteran. The original writer for Netflix's version has been fired and it's currently in limbo while Netflix figures out what changes they want to make.

Christian fiction is FAR above the minds of woke Leftists.

That's the great thing about Redwall: the author was more interested in extolling courage and loyalty than making converts.

I dropped the first season in the middle and thanks, but i doesn't care and don't have any intention to continue and watch the S2. Altrough the animated movie seems interesting.
