I went to EF and...
General
I loved it.
So, as promised, I'm trying to collect my thoughts on the whole experience in hindsight now. The energy there was infectious, like a giant party that just keeps on going.
I didn't realise just how much I missed out on stuff like that before I missed, but I'm also incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to go there with friends.
Definitely a lot more active than I usually am in my day-to-day life, but I don't regret that one bit.
Except maybe for that one video of me dancing, but that one will probably never see the light of day anyways.
You'd think that going for a week is quite a while, but it really isn't, and once I got home and stopped being a manic little ball of energy, I started missing my friends.
I did make some new ones as well, despite being a bit anxious for a good chunk of it.
They tell you that you should get at least six hours of sleep, at least two meals, and take at least one shower a day (yes, I know...), but the first two of those certainly suffered.
I didn't even get to do all the things I wanted to do, but I'm glad I got to be part of at least some of the insanity.
Someone brought a cardboard cutout of Nicholas Cage to the dance floor, and I had a hard time not laughing my ass off over it.
Someone also seemingly lost their underwear in front of the convention center, but I don't know what to make of that (No, I don't think anyone brought it to the lost and found).
I also really didn't get the appeal of fursuiting until I went, but now I kinda do. Even got to hug one, though one of my friends hugged like 50 of them xD
Guess I'm still a bit shy / awkward in person, but I'll be better the next time.
Would I do it again?
Absolutely yes.
But I would do a few things differently, probably stay longer before and after the convention. Go for different rooming arrangements, and try to bring more friends the next time.
I also feel like whatever I write cannot truly do it justice, and some of the spicier things might best be kept to the people involved~
Anyways, see you at the next one! (hopefully)

FA+

But for it being my first ever con I will definitely go again!
Also - Nicholas Cage was probably the highlight at every panel haha
We differ in some aspect, and are similar in others. It's always interesting to see the other's point of views of the experience.
I'm glad I could be there with you (except the final party, I'd have stayed there a little bit if I could!), and really hope there will be another chance to do it. Thanks ^^
