Uh... Well, there's a problem.
I'll keep it short:
The neighbors flooded our apartment. And with a lot of damage.
These rooms were flooded: bathroom, toilet, kitchen, hallway. Some appliances were damaged, the walls, baseboards and ceiling are trashed.
The blame falls entirely on the neighbors, however, according to their own words, the apartment is rented, and the owner is in prison. It is not yet known how long the legal battle will last (if there will be one), and how much will be spent on a lawyer and a trial, if any. However, such a force majeure was not in the budget or my morale. On top of that still lies tuition, and.... You know.
The work will continue, this situation (I hope) will not affect my abilities.
...I don't like to ask for support, but now, with everything that's going on, I just want to ask you to just support me. I don't care what kind of support, be it verbal or material.
Again, I don't like to ask for help. But now I feel smeared on the wall and I don't know what will happen in the future.

I don't know if the experience I used will help in such a situation, one of the downsides is that legal experience is required.
First thing:
Assessment of damage and obtaining a certificate of the event.
Second thing:
Pre-trial claim.
Third:
After the refusal to compensate for the pre-trial claim, and this is quite possible, tenants like to run away from responsibility, sue the owner of the apartment.
Fourth:
since the owner of the apartment is in prison, he will insist on the impossibility of payments, therefore - demand recognition of his bankruptcy, and the sale of his property.
It was at this point that "magically" all the money was found and I began the repairs.
Right now we're waiting for the flood damage to show up so that it can be documented
