Help me my body is racist against milk.

Or as sane people would call it, lactose intolerance. This is a sudden thump to my lifestyle as cheese used to be a staple in my diet. I have yet to try lactaid and probiotics but the message is clear that my body no longer will process milk by itself. This is not a doom and gloom scenario but still a significant amount of suck is in here. I have spent the last two nights now sleepless and running to the restroom every hour or so.
If you or anybody has experience in dealing with this I am open to tips and suggestions. Though forgoing dairy is an obvious step, it is the fact that we are creatures of habit that I can see myself struggling and paying dearly for a mistake. Even though my reactions are not life threatening, they are still heavily inconveniencing especially when I got plans.

I know there's some way to 'reduce' the effects like there's suppose to be medicine to aid with that if you (accidentially) ingest something, but as I don't have it, I can only guess.
