The Birth of Magic
Long ago, oh best beloved, when the world was still being built and The Elders where young, The gods where attempting to convince Pazuzu to try and control his half of the world better. Kuwadro sent out his sons, Bregg and Jin. Bregg spoke to Pazuzu of the harm that was being done, and how the things he had created where destroying families. Pazuzu ignored his plees, for Pazuzu can not feel one emotion with out feeling the opposit, so Bregg gave up. Jin came, and he came armed with a sword and he threatend and yelled at Pazuzu to keep his half of the world in line, but Pazuzu felt no fear at these threats for Jin could not harm him because of the agreement his father made.
Kuwadro was at a loss of what to do, he spoke to his wife and asked her what he should do. and she thought very carefully and said, "Send Gröeg" Kuwadro sighed. You see best beloved, Kuwadro was once just a man, and while he was a man he had a different wife, and his very own daughter. but when he became a God, oh best Beloved his new wife was jealous of the bond that he and his daughter had, so she made her own son, and named him Gröeg. Kuwadro went and asked the boy if he would try and convince Pazuzu to keep his half of the world in order, and Gröeg said, "No, but I will talk to him about Ignorance and Dreams."
The next day Gröeg packed a lunch of snowcream and the most bitter tea you could ever imagine, my best beloved. And he walked to Pazuzu's home and knocked very politely and asked if he may come in. Pazuzu thought he was up to something and said, "Gröeg, your two half-brothers have tried and you shall not succeed either." But Gröeg then asked, "Would you care to join me for a picnic?" Pazuzu was confused but was also hungry for he had no mother to teach him to cook, so he agreed. They found a place in his dark landscape, and Gröeg gave Pazuzu a bowl with some snowcream in it. Pazuzu was ever so hungry that he ate it all in one bite. But then his teeth hurt from the cold and his head hurt from the cold, and his very lungs felt as if they would freeze. Gröeg, then poured him a cup of his ever so bitter tea, and Pazuzu drank this quickly as well. At first he felt a sudden relief, but then he felt very ill, and he began to spit out things upon the ground everywhere, and they looked like the most horrible and frieghtning demons he had ever seen, and they ran off and started hurting the creations of his world. he Paniced and asked Gröeg what they were.
"They are, your Ignorance. You where in such a rush when you ate me food and drank my tea, that you didn't even bother to try and enjoy it. instead it made you Ill, and so you spit out your Ignorance and they became these demons." He stopped to sip at his tea, "and they will cause harm to everything that we have done."
Pazuzu looked at these new demons he had made, and tried to stop his Ignorance, but they would not stop. he tried hitting them, and yelling, and pleasing words, but nothing worked. he ran back to Gröeg and asked him what to do to stop them.
"We can do nothing to stop them, for they have free will like all our creations, so the only way to stop is to inspire our other creations to do so." He sipped his tea again, "But how would we do that?" Gröeg always felt that he should not give people all the answers, they must learn from there own mistakes. So Pazuzu sat down, and he thought, and pondered, and even questioned, but he had no ideas, oh best beloved. But then he began to have a day dream, and this day dream was that some one would come along and give him the answers he needed. he then ate his day dream and spat it out, and there stood a strange creature. He was as tall as an Olliqui but he was covered in dark fur like an Anubian (for at this time, best beloved, all Anubians had fur) and he also had wings. and Pazuzu said, "William, how shall we inspire our creations to stop my Ignorance?"
And then, best beloved, William spoke, "Through their dreams. For there dreamsnmay inspire them to goals thought unachievable and they will wish to learn more, and when the learn Ignorance shall be weak to them."
So Pazuzu, Gröeg, and William went and built a seperate world, where all of there creations where conected to when they slept, and William would send them dreams that would come off paper that he wrote. Pazuzu and Gröeg would return back to there homes. and Gröeg went and got his two half brothers, Bregg and Jin, and asked them to come with him to visit the Elders in Ellamorse. they did so and Gröeg told the elder that they where making three towers, and they where NOT to enter them.
Jin built his tower and it was full of maps, and sea charts, stories of far away places, and strange stars.
Bregg built his tower and it was full of ways to make tools, and ingredients for recipes, stories of how men could build things to do there work, and a strong fire.
Gröeg built his tower and he filled it with empty books, a large sturdy desk with an ink well and pen, a nice soft chair.
Gröeg opened up one book and drew his own dream, and then a picture of three circles inside of a triangle.
The elders having been told not to enter the tower, immediatly entered them as soon as the three gods had left. They learned so much.
Except the elder who had entered Gröeg tower, he sat there, at that desk, and stared and could not make heads or tales of Groeg dream. he eventually fell asleep where William visited him with a dream.
And then he awoke, oh best beloved, and he had a third eye with let him truely see Gröeg's dream, and he understood and he filled every empty books there with the spells he had seen in Gröeg's dream. And that, best beloved, is where magic comes from, Gröeg's dreams.
