it used to happen to me constantly until i started only giving my discord out via notes to friends lol

just reply "no. and cold calling is rude and ineffective." then just block them on discord.

There are too many good and trustworthy artists out there for me to ever work with anyone I don't know that I can trust.

Yup. I commission many people on here and they’re so amazing. I always tip an extra $5 as well because these amazing artists deserve it. They also don’t ask me as well. My very first commission was Boston.Babe and she’s an absolute lovely artist to work with. I’ve always loved her work so when she was done with my commission I gave her an extra $5 and she was so thankful. There are other ways to get someone to commission you. I want to do commissions in the future so I’m doing gift art to users whose characters really stuck to me as a practice to build up skill. Then when I’m open to doing them I’ll upload a picture saying I’m taking commissions and if anyone wants one they can note me.
