I know a lot of people do sketches and WIPs for patreon. I’ve seen a decent number use it as a place for more frequent status updates too - it kinda seems like whatever you’re willing to spend the time to put up. Polls for future art would also probably work, like “i have X Y Z ideas, which order do people think they should be completed in?” or more directly asked for and voted on by patrons, which is probably maybe what you were trying to imply.

That’s kinda what I’ve seen, but it’s not really my place to say what works since the most I’ve done is make an ever-increasing mental list of people that I want to financially support if I can, whenever I start makin my own money. I digress, I hope it goes really well for you.

I can probably post sketches and WIPs on my patreon of artworks that I work on, both commissions (unless requested private) and sketches. That's a pretty good idea there. Although, I think I'll probably share status updates as it happens everywhere equally. Besides, twitter is much quicker and easier when it comes to doing those anyway.

I was thinking more along the lines of providing a list of characters/creatures that'd probably be chosen by friends or members, then they can vote on it. I dunno how people come up with those lists tbh. But yeah! Mainly doing this cause my mother is in need of eye surgery and bills are raising! Thank you for responding. :3

A very common patreon reward (and one supported by patreon itself) is exclusive access to a discord server, or private channels in a public server! It's a great way for patrons to easily talk with you or each other!

Another neat reward if you don't want to give free art every month is to give people "rewards points" each month based on how much they're paying, and allow them to cash in rewards points for art! Perhaps 5 points for a sketch, 20 for a full piece, 50 for a sequence, etc! You can also do raffles for your patrons but I personally prefer the consistent points method rather than leaving it up to chance.

I would probably do a discord server if I knew how to create and manage one. Although, I guess I can technically set up a bare-bones patreon only server? I'd need to figure things out first.

Also, that's an interesting concept, and probably something that would be worth doing. Reward points is noted! I'll figure out the points and whatnot Thanks for the suggestion there.~
