So uh... about that "clearing my gallery" thing...

More than that, given the most recent site announcement, I am genuinely optimistic that this site can do better. Foolishly, perhaps; FA's given us the run-around a lot before. I wouldn't blame anyone else for saying "nah, fuck it" at this point. But I know for a fact that we're being listened to and understood in ways that we weren't before, and with the departure of so much of the previous staff, I really do think they have an opportunity to turn things around.
I don't think I'm quite ready to start uploading here again; I'm gonna wait until the new policy is hammered out to do that. I'd rather not charge full steam ahead only to find out a few months down the road that it was wasted effort. But I do think they're going to try, and I'm willing to hold off on deleting my gallery to give them a chance to do that.
Worth the reminder though - for now, the best places to find me are Bluesky and the Fediverse.
I'm setting things up on Weasyl (I had a gallery there years ago but I've not uploaded to it since 2019), but I'm not super active there yet. SoFurry is... honestly kinda meh, not sure how much I'm gonna commit to it.

I do think there's a chance, albeit a small one, that this site can turn around if they are genuinely taking lessons from this whole... fiasco of the last 20-ish months. Not just the last few weeks.
A lot of what happened is symptomatic of problems that have plagued FA for decades... and it all came to a head. And in spite of everyone pointing out issues for years and years.
With that said, I do hope this is the turn-around we've been hoping for for YEARS now.
And that it'll be an incentive to bring certain features into the light, so everyone can have a much better experience overall.
But thats 17 years of memories.
It's a lot of work for even my small galleries across two accounts, so I can only imagine how much of a pain it'll be across all of your history (maybe you've got enough to make it worth trying to script?), but it seems like the only option that gets the best of both worlds while being the least destructive to history.
