Cold weather record

A few minutes ago we've reached the coldest temperature I've ever seen in my town: minus 8 degrees celsius. Considering that I live in the center of the town, out in the country there should be at least minus 11 or 12.
Previous record of minus 7 was reached 6 years ago.
And just for information, the hottest temperature was 38, reached last year

That's definitely pretty cold. We dipped down to -11 Celsius here not too long ago which was, of course, record cold.
Also my father told me that about 20 years ago we reached -15C
