I’m going to be completely honest here. I feel like you need to move away from just putting a sphere model on some characters and calling it a day. And try and take advantage of the model in question to make it seem more realistically proportionate.
Now this may be incredibly subjective and I’m sorry if I come off as aggressive. But I would like to see you try something similar in the vain of your elora and squid sisters posts.
Sorry for being esoteric there, I meant how the fat and inflation pics you have. Just look like glossy balloons. I don’t know how to describe it but the fat on most of your recent pics don’t look as realistic as they could.
I think experimenting with ocs, new or old, would be a good way to go about it!
Oh, maybe also trying different lighting styles if that makes sense? I'm a fellow blenderian (obviously less time than ya but still haha) so I do understand the app for the most part
Have you joined the Fetish Academy 3D server run by Frost Bound? It's primarily geared towards fur and MLP, but they'll happily help you squeeze more out of your pics. I've meant to do a lot more 3D stuff than I have been, and you've been an excellent resource to study from, so if you want to improve, I'd check them out.
Weird, experimental lighting styles would be cool to see. My dynamic poses, angles and situations would also be cool. An exaggerated cartoony example would be a fat character stuck on a large pipe and seeing both ends at once, showing they're hilariously elongated.
I think you're doing shapes really good, with how puffy and ballooning they get, but perhaps maybe you can experiment more with celshading? Finding ways to make it look 2D and 3D at the same time could be cool? I don't know, I'm just giving out suggestions, but personally I already love your art as is.
More unique angles and dynamic lighting i think. Some overhead stuff to really emphasize that ‘room filling’ aspect, or just more extreme angles and poses in general would be neat. Also yea, colored lighting, or harsher contrast n whatnot could be worth playing around with. Love your stuff
