Did so many Americans fall for the lure of fascism?
When in 2017 at the G20 here in Hamburg, Antifa was rioting, I was as ashamed as most of everyone else.
At least back then, the main topic that Antifa was propagating was anti-globalism. That's why they specifically targeted that one as well as other G-summits.
Highly ironic however that Trump is seen as anti-globalist as well.
So what is the explanation for all of this?
How can about 50% of people support a person who is so obviously drawn by power and represents strength? Is that not fascism?
Or have so many Americans actually accepted that approach even if they don't call it that way - in hope that this somehow improves their lives?
Oh well, as an European guess I will just watch and be ready to defend allied countries and values ourselves - as it should be.
We furries will prevail!

So guess less of a thing to worry in that regard ._.'
Wasn't Trump the one that got shot at?
Also the fact that 55% of people WANT Trump to deport all those migrants, as per polling in April, and based on the polling in January, that was going up, honestly could be 60% by this point, but idk if anyone's done any more recent polling
Btw. did you know that there were more deportations per month under Obama than under Trump?

Maybe by declaring a state of war.
I can't shake the feeling; maybe they know Trump will drag the country down. Maybe it's a case of an "If we're going down, we're taking the country with us" line of thinking.
Here's my hot take; end of the day, whichever way they voted, the government gets in. End of the day, it's the same one party pretending to be two. And everyone's in on the masquerade.
It's absolutely not black and white.
As for your other points.. Maybe :/
I'm sure a lot of Trump voters are just people frustrated with their own lives.
That a powerful person can help you in that situation is exactly the lure I'm talking about in this journal.
I still think that a lot of Democrats had sympathy for Palestine - not for HAMAS, but the innocents getting targeted - and Kamala's refusal to end it spurred them to vote in the opposite direction.
Of course, there are a lot more factors at play.
Btw. the HAMAS are the absolutely only reason innocents are targeted. Not Israel. The terrorists have trained for decades how to use the average population as meatshields. Weapons were found in schools and hospitals...
It's also not as tight as it was last time, so doesn't seem likely that a recount will change anything.
My question is, why are you afraid of Trump?
