They've tried to distance themselves from the plan because the whole thing was made public, and the end result isn't popular. They're still going to implement the policies as described, but they'll call it something else.

Trump lies A LOT. Because Project 2025 is politically inconvenient, he says he has nothing to do with it. I guarantee if it was well-received he'd claim it was all his ideas - and he isn't going to change his plans. He'll just frame it differently, try to keep plausible deniability until he's consolidated enough power to do whatever he wants.

I saw him say that. It's absolute BS. You actually believe the words of a proven inveterate and pathological liar? Apparently so. I can't believe how many Drumpf lovers I've seen repeating this exact same garbage.

He's long been a supporter of and interacted with the Heritage Foundation. about 80% of project 2025's authors are either from his previous administratin or are close associates of his. There's a large overlap between what's in that document and his already stated policies. The idea that he doesn't know about it or what's in it is absurd.

I don't know much about the Heritage Foundation, never heard of it before this election cycle, but my sister is good at online research, and she found a few things.
They have made, and offered, a 'wish list' every Republican President, and all have ignored them, since Regan, possibly longer. This includes when Trump was President from 2016 to 2020. He ignored them then, and will ignore them now.
Trying to connect him to this because some of his supporters worked on it is like trying to say he 's a white supremacist, because members of the white supremacist groups support him. Is he suppose to to tell them to go vote for his competition?
People are claiming that he i going to take away a woman right to vote. He can't do that, the constitution says a woman can vote.
People are claiming that he is going to put blacks back in chains, but in his first term, he helped them more them Obama did.
People are claiming that he is a racist, but he has repeatedly disavowed the the racist groups.
People are claiming that he will start W3, but he is only the second president since 1933 that did not start a new war. In fact, he officially ended the war with North Korea. The fighting had stop in 1953, but no treaty was ever signed, till Trump did on June 12, 2018.

The Heritage Foundation is a far right thinktank. Ialready made it clear what his connections with them are and what he would probably do with Project 2025. He denied even knowing about it, which is an obvious lie because of his connections with it and the Heritage Foundation itself. I've already mentioned that he probably wouldn't iry to do everything in it, and he probably wouldn't be able to do some of it.

He's made it abundantly clear that he's a fascist, a racist, a misogynist, and a white supremacist, among other things. All you have to do is look at what he says and who he's chosen to surround himself with. He's certainly never tried to push away his far right supporters. Hell, he even had Nick Fuentes and Kanye to dinner at Mar-A-Lago.

The only people I've ever seen saying that stuff about putting black people in chains were Drumpf supporters accusing his detractors of saying that. And that's just ridiculous on its face.

I'd love to see actual proof that he helped black people more than Obama did. That's another thing I've seen a lot of his supprters say but I've never seen proof of.

They distanced themselves from the specific project blueprint name. That doesn't mean they won't do things in the plan, they just won't say it's Project 2025.

I'm amazed so many people don't understand that project 2025 is just a bunch of people unassociated with Trump who just make lists of what they want the party doing. They don't have the influence you think they do, and hopefully it stays that way since some of their stuff is so extreme it's kept them out of power. They are basically religious lobbyists who are pushing extreme views. You are acting out the preprogrammed actions you were instructed to by your bad news sources if you are presently panicking over them. I'm sure legislation you don't like will come out of a Trump administration, but Project 2025 is just a boogeyman put up by people trying to make you panic. It's not a bad idea to keep an eye on what religious nutjobs are up to, but I remember literally seeing Trump say he wasn't affiliated with them and being annoyed the news was doing everything it could to attach them to him. Pay attention to actual legislation coming out, this is a distraction.

I just wish more people followed more neutral news sources and tried to understand topics more deeply, not ones that keep them hooked on panic headlines and worst case opinions. Someone on here blocked me for trying to explain to them the covid vaccine didn't make you immune or stop you from getting it and that screaming about anti vaxxers as the reason he couldn't go to a con was pointless. People need to really understand the thing they're worried about to make informative opinions on how to react to it before they influence others under not entirely correct assumptions. So many times I do something like this it's just deleted comment, blocked, called a fascist, etc all because people are in such a panic state they assume I am their enemy instead of a slightly better informed than average dude who just hates to see people getting gray hairs over situations that don't actually exist.

I'm reasonably sure my analysis of their scope of influence will prove to be the correct one in the long term vs your analysis. They do not have the influence you think they do. That some of their members are in his administration is simply a matter of numbers. To imply those people can make Trump of all people do what they want is a massive stretch. Trying to justify it because 'Trump is a liar' is an opinion statement that again I think will be proven wrong. It's well known that the religious lobby is losing power every generation in the USA, and these people are just trying to attach themselves to anything that they can in the hope they can force their religious doctrines upon the rest of America.

He may well not try to do everything in there, and he'd probably be blocked from doing some things, but there's a wide overlap in Project 2025 with things he's already said he plans to do. It's clearly a plan for his administration, and I'd be extremely surprised if he didn't try to follow much of it.

It is what it is. I'm simply not convinced these people has as much of an ear as is being claimed and feel they're a distraction. All anybody has at this point is their opinions on the matter and I don't like seeing people working themselves into a panic over something that may end up being just hot air.
