lei-lani is still trying to cope with her feelings and all and i just wanted to sound off with my own thoughts and opinions... you can take or leave them and whatever you feel like after reading thats fine. yer allowed to feel however you want to. you can even sound off on me if you have to. :Dso....... yeah, what a crazy election. i guess in the back of my mind i knew Kam wouldnt pull it off because lets face it SHES A WOMAN... we had a better shot with Biden and i believe here and now the media was manipulated into getting Joe to step aside so Orangeface had the winning hand. no offense to women at all and i love you all and wish to fucking god youd hurry your FUCKING asses up and conquer us to become your love slaves for eternity, but you CANT be allowed to lead America... its not gonna happen. =( probably not in mine or any of our lifetimes............... men are just too afraid in general.
so that said.... i have been going out in the last day or so since the election and you know what im seeing........? its really wild and i cant explain it but....every seems normal, happy, same as usual... filled with holiday cheer.... its almost like its not at all a big deal that the dumpster is in charge come January 2025........................... and i cant explain it either but i dont feel that alarm either, i dont feel like anything seriously awful is gonna befall our nation, we're certainly not gonna see concentration camps for unique people, or armed forces invading homes to take dissenters or opponents away nor do i see a bunch of illegal immigrants being rounded up.............. i just dont see that, and for 66 million reasons.............
me and Lani are part of that 66 million and we're not gonna let a dictatorship take over.... we're not....... and im betting Putin sure as hell does NOT want this nation breaking out into all out civil war (because thats what youre fucking GOING to have if you start up camps, armed conflict etc.) because he wants money to keep flowing to Russia! and you sure arent gonna get that if we're at war with ourselves..... and let me tell you, honestly, Russia is FALLING.... you dont lose 750,000 troops in a war without people starting to get a wee pissed off! i suspect its close to a revolutions tatus there now, and i bet a lotta Russian artists here would agree with me. theyve had it... they fucking hate Putin and want him dead. Believe it.
i wrote something like this and i'll add one more thing.... i have this sense of elation.... its fearlessness ive never had before, never thought i could have.... like i could rip someone in half who dares lay a finger on a minority in a hate crime.... or lambast some asshole who says to another guy, 'hey fucker, speak english, yer in america!'... my response will be "HEY FUCKER...speak like an american and support americans." and i'll shout it in his face and make sure EVERYONE around him hears it....
i am fearless. i am ready for whatever is planned for us.... i just got done writing to Hakeem Jeffries (whom would be a great Speaker of the house) and told him the Democrats need to come out in full force and assure the American people they got our back, that they arent gonna let anything evil permeate this institution. and you know something? we're not......

That said, I disagree with a lot of your second paragraph here, but going into why I think she really lost and why i think your hypothesis is wrong would require a rather long explanation.
I also both agree and disagree with a number of other things here.
In some ways, I guess I've always felt this fearlessness that you're talking about. I've never hesitated to call people on that kind of shit.

I think that the main factor was a complete failure by the Dems to run the campaign right.

There should have been more concentration on actual well defined policy.
It was also a huge mistake to ignore the lower classes in favor of concentrating on the middle class, and failing to directly confront peoples feelings about the economy.
Another major mistake was catering to the center and the right in the mistaken belief that you can gain any significant support there. I mean, The Cheneys? Bolton? Really? That completely put off anyone the least bit progressive. And ignoring the progressive left has been a significant failing of the Dems for years.
They're always tacking to the center, completely ignoring what could be one of their strongest constituencies. This completely alienates a lot of the left and younger people.
The more progressive policies are really popular and poll incredibly well, but they completely ignore that in favor of a proven failed strategy.
WHY DID LESS PEOPLE VOTE...............?

However, I also think that's being disingenuous to just how completely the Democrats failed us. This was not just a fight in 2024. We all knew Trump was going to run again. The only very brief sliver of hope we got was when the party was briefly split over DeSantis and Trump. When that happened, and the fractures in the Republican party became obvious, the Democrats should have acted on that! They could have reached across the aisle to dissident Republicans who were against the course their party was taking, and something could have actually been done about this mess! Instead, the Democrats prioritized party purity over real progression. They are not our friends, they are not on our side.
What we need to do going forward is support Grass Roots movements and new political parties to get rid of the Two-Party System. It has to go! Among the other things we need to start doing is demand Ranked-Choice voting and we need to start having Referendums. It has become clear that both parties will only act in their own interests, and whether those interests benefit the people is coincidental. Remember this: the Democrats all but literally propped up Diane Feinstein's corpse in Congress, it was an open secret that she had dementia, yet she was still being allowed to serve in public office. For as much rhetoric as there is about Trump's mental state, having someone in office whose brain was literally being turned into swiss cheese was beyond hypocritical. Remember when all that noise was being made over the Game Stop stocks, how people in power were openly playing the stock market, and whenever regular folks jumped in and got involved, suddenly there were regulations being enforced? Yet Nancy Pelosi and others were still blatantly engaged in legal insider trading because of their political positions. How can these politicians serve our best interests if they don't have to follow the same laws and rules?!
I think implementing referendums, especially on votes concerning distribution of power, needs to be how we go things going forward. That's only one small part of it. There's a lot of work to be done.
