I dont know what artist needs to hear this, but clipart is your best friend for studying.


If youre trying to draw something specific and your brain cant understand the shapes and lines and textures and stuff, then googling the clipart version of that subject will show a simplified version of said thing. Also "cartoon" version of said subject can also sometimes show a nice simplified version.


Dont be afraid to look up 3d versions of these subjects too. Not just for reference but to see it a bit more complicated to draw it from different angles, perspectives and integrate it better if drawing a background (the forbidden flavor of art lol)

Anyway, these are just my little art musings. Dunno if itll help you, but it had helped me a lot so i figured a quick journal might help a creative watching me.
