The Reclamation Project Year One - Third Story Read
Remnants Hope by Hugo Jackson
That is probably the understatement of the year. But it is such a far cry from where I was as a child, when I thought that we were all pulling in the same direction, we just didn't agree on how to get there. But now I wonder. I was thinking of what to say here, certain I should say something.
I'm concerned. I won't lie. I'm also in a deeply red state where I am pretty well rooted. My job is here, we own our house, and even if I were inclined to go somewhere I'm not sure if it's feasible.
My stress level has jumped pretty high this last week, I made a vlog but to my credit I also edited a video review for youtube so production continues. I've had a semi consistent tension headache and my eyes don't like a lot of movement right now so I dunno... I'm trying not to let things affect the time I have right now to make a difference, and I do intend to do what I can.
I really hope that people can get back to where they're willing to compromise. Where they'll help a neighbor or learn something new about someone they never talked to before.
Right now it's hard to be optimistic. But I'm going to do what I can.

Sending you lots and lots of good thoughts!
this next bit needs a bit of explaining, so please don't judge me too quickly?
"If you are not a liberal in your 20's you have no heart... but if you are not a conservative by your 40's you have no brain" - old sayin I heard 30-40 years ago.
I started off as a Conservative Republican back in the days of Ronald Reagan... but as I've grown older I've leaned more Libertarian.
I Barely know how to live My Life, and I am NOT qualified to tell you how to live yours... and I don;t want the government (or the people in it) telling me or anyone else how we Have To live our lives.
the annoying orange (dj jazzy chump) is NOT a conservative, he's a big government liberal, just not as liberal as the person he was running against.
Don't Blame Me, I was working 500 miles away from home and didn't get to vote this year so my candidate didn't even break a million votes >.<
and the ones that do have 'principals' are too far into their religious B.S. that I CAN'T support them.
you have a religion and think it's nifty? that's nice... do NOT force me to live by your imaginary friends rules, kthanxbia...
I've long thought public office should be treated more like military service. That it's not something you do for the perks but it is regarded as a duty. Like our senator running off every time there's a crisis he should be managing. (I live in TX.)
I live in Wisconsin. we Should have term limits for congress, regardless of party
for DECADES he was a major democrat supporter. he was a major friend and contributor to the Clintons right up until he ran against hillery.
I Do Not Like The Guy.
