Fun fact, if you manage to get your account banned, the suspension is indefinite and the handle remains taken. But if you delete your account, it becomes available for somebody else to claim.
It's as if they don't want you to behave nicely even when you're leaving.

I cannot delete mine given that I have artists that I'm actively commissioning that only communicate on Twitter and without an account I can not view any content in the site. I did remove all my posts, likes and comments

Curious. While i had / have a twitter I stopped using it ages ago. I know people have liked it less and less since Elon Musk took over but what caused the mass exodus recently? Googling hasn't turned up much info without knowing what exactly i should be googling

It has become overrun with people of a certain brainwashed variety. From the ads to the number of profiles, it's impossible to escape seeing the red caps boasting their madness and hatred and I grew exhausted by it. Additionally, just recently Musky announced they would be changing the blocking feature. Making it where--despite blocking someone-- they can still view your profile. Sort of defeats the purpose lol

i initially didn't want to make a twitter because i hate the format, but heard artists can make good reach there, so i made a twitter.. then left again because i hate how content is shared ( how like, you'll click a video, and go to the comments, and the comments are just more absolutely unrelated videos and finding actual discourse about the content you just watched is impossible ), hate the tiny letter limit, hate how user unfriendly the messaging system is, and of course, hate that they removed the cute little bird logo that made twitter at least a tiny bit tolerable. Was basically tumblr but if you made every single aspect of tumblr worse in every way LOL Wish tumblr still allowed 18+ content, i loved the community there back in the day
