How about both? Make it where Cannon Doma retains the curse and transforms in october. But where Otter Doma is an AU Doma and his own thing? Perhaps cursed to turn into a fox while cannon doma steals his form?

I think that it would be nice if the otter could partipicate in both, without biasing to any side 😉

Could do both, but I say make him a regular part of Doma's life in some way.

Then again, I'm biased, considering how much of a fan of otters I am.

Personally, I think otters are more of a year round critter than seasonal.

I do love the otter, but perhaps it has a greater identity as a seasonal variation of you; absence make the heart grow fonder, after all.

Maybe it depends on what side of the bed he gets up on, if he's a fox or an ott~ Or changes when he sneezes or something. C:

This is the great thing about owning a char my friend. You can decide to mix it up. And if you don't like the changes nothing to say you cannot revert it back foxxo boi more often. I'd just say experiment with him untill you find the ratio you desire.

For example, me, I'm largely a dragon now, BUT, I Still sometimes feel like being a kitsune, thus I still refer to myself as a dragon*sune* and I have no real law or logic to say which I shoukd be. Just whatever my mood at the time is!

More otter is not a bad thing.

Suggestions:
Have Fox Doma still be cursed to turn into an Otter every October.
(Maybe extend it to full moon nights? Sneezing? Eating fish? Whatever tickles your fancy.😁)
But also keep Otter Doma as his own entity. Maybe a trickster who cursed Fox Doma to begin with?
