Heres my Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/seyumei.bsky.social
Its been pretty dormant for a while, and I wasnt really planning to use it, but since it seems like a lot of people are outright deleting their Xitter accounts (understandably), I thought I'd just try this site out too. I usually avoid making accounts on alt sites since they tend to fizzle out of steam in a few months time, but it seems like people actually use this?
I'll still be posting on Xitter actively as I do, since I dont want to lose connections there (or if something happens to Bluesky in the future). But I'll try to post on here too and see how long my retention can be retained xD In any case, you can always find me on my other socials listed here!: https://seyumei.com/
A common issue I always run into when making new accounts is that my art history and backlog is so large at this point that I dont even know where to start haha. Like what do I even post first? lol

FA+

Outside of all the toxic political discourse, you're also fighting against the terrible algorithm and the asshole tech bros who have declared open season on stealing everyones artwork. What little engagement you get on there is seriously not worth it.
In any case, I've given you a follow on Bluesky. Follow me back if you want.

Thank you though!
Otherwise, I went ahead and gave you a watch on Bluesky! :3 I'm also on there if you want to follow me @ caznir.
Thanks though! I'll have to go through my list later haha (only person i followed was the one who gave me the invite code in the first place xD)
Can just post a handful of things per day or every so often or just the things you REALLY wanna respost, SHRUG
i
neglected doing that idk but i'm awful about posting everywhere
I'm thinking about just posting favorites or just themed stuff in batches for now. But I've got like hundreds of potential pieces and its overwhelming to decide haha.
LOL i feel that xD
Aside from the AI scraping, it's the general feeling that X is not going to get better ever, and since it's already going down the tubes it's best to get out before falling in the drain. The way we make Bluesky more stable and lasting is by being there and using it.
Luckily most of the AI art I've seen just looks the same (boring and overrendered), so i dont think its been "feeding" off anything i've been posting xD
Thankfully Bluesky is friendly to creators who want to grow their platform. It doesn't penalize you for sharing links, hashtags, or saying certain words.
Thus you can reshare the same post all over. I'm glad its algorithm isn't super in your face with discourse that one never heard of unlike Twitter.
WHOO! LetsaGOO.. Ok sorry x'D
"We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so".
So for now, it's safe to post artwork on there without a nagging suspicion that you may be contributing to data scraping in *some way* via your own written text or user submitted images.
The block function is also currently superior there for sure!
But i know there are other reasons why people are also jumping ship (like block changes and more upcoming dumb changes to X) so it doesnt hurt to try. It may or may not last, but we'll see xD
Regardless, I'll still give this place a shot. The best outcome is that it can become more of a casual place for artists, but thats only given things dont fizzle out haha.
