Well, no, because the chat log from Telegram is lost, my communications with the actual artist has been through FA notes, So I have that at least to prove the artist is not using PP.

dawn... hope I will not become a victime too, but most of the time I ask via furaffinity and discord if I speak with the "same person" because many guy join my server has impostor... so I'm carefull. take care!

I had to do a chargeback when I got scammed on [a physical music media resale site] earlier this year. PayPal flagged it as "unusual activity" and disconnected my bank account from my PayPal account. Got my money back, though.

Thankfully, I haven't gotten scammed by any scammers posing as furry artists. I only seem to get scammed by legit furry artists and plumbing corporations.

Yeah, this was a case of getting contacted via Telegram, nothing unusual, get email to send money, account locked into Friends and Family because of country/region locking, nothing unusual, money sent...2 days later, artist replies via comment confirming I won and an FA note which was that "wait, didn't you...." and that is when the oh shit moment happened.

My actual scammer deleted their entire commerce profile within ten minutes of me sending my payment. Their jumpiness alerted me and I tried to contact PayPal through non-phone means because I despise talking on the phone. That resulted in PayPal's automated service forwarding my description of how I just got scammed to the scammer, alerting them that I knew I had been scammed. Nice job, PayPal. Very cool.

The legit artists that scammed me either overloaded their backlogs and conveniently forgot about any orders older than a few months, took full payment up front in stream and suddenly got too tired and promised they would finish it up offline, or one had a personal crisis for six months and then blocked me on FA and PayPal.

The plumbing corporation is another story for another day. All I can say is, do not have ROTary-ROOTcuttER perform any excavation work on your land.

Like, that is a technical thing that they have to do for legal reasons. So....yeah, always fun.

I have only had one artist take 3 years, but they took a bunch of IA commissions, about 1 month in they had a lot of medical issues, but they kept things updated, they worked on and posted when they could, they offered refunds for those that wanted it, but did they would appreciate if people could just be patient and I did eventually get my commission.

Aye, but I do at least have record of the artist stating that they are unable to use Paypal which should be enough evidence that the person that I sent money to was a scam.

This is why I take screenshots of evey payment confirmation/Invoice page I get, no matter how small.

Last time I was scammed tho it was actually more annoying and funny - apparently the person taking my payment at a drive-thru had enough of the town, wrote down my numbers and used it for a few Lyft rides. Cut them off quick, the only pain was getting a temp card, and waiting on a replacement.

yeah, I have the email confirmation which has all the transaction info, but the problem I am lacking is the chat logs because Telegram doesn't save any of those records when the person can delete it for both sides and leave no trace.
