Some folks treat it like a trend but it fucking isn't.

I've been on the fence for quite a long time now I just recently decided that I even if I can manage as I am I still think I'd be happier and that's enough for me.
I've been learning about it for years before I even realized it was something I might actually want and I probably know way more than most.
Now that I know for sure it's something I want I'm just trying to figure out the best way for me to actually do it.

A therapist who works with trans people here. This is actively not a thing and is a transphobic view. I have worked with hundreds of trans folks and looked at the research. Please do not spread misinformation. Every person internally weighs this even if you can't see it.

Even if "trenders" were real which they aren't I have a hard time imagining very many people would get far enough that they did something they can't just easily reverse by just not taking more hormones unless they were absolutely sure.

This is objectively correct. Getting hormones often requires a letter from a therapist or a referral to an endocrinologist. I write these letters. No one waits months for a doctor's app or asks for letters. Trenders are not and have never been real. They are a transmedicalist stereotype to shit on enbies.

Probably the closest thing I can think of that might actually happen is people coming out as trans pretty early then realizing they aren't but I don't really see why that would be a bad thing inherently since I think the act of gender exploration itself is valuable regardless. I also just don't think that happens very often anyways.

Not to mention that the percentage of that is less than 2%. The bullshit study that the right tries to cite about a majority of kids detransitioning is survey data from parents and the questions are worded with intention.

I agree, everyone should explore gender. The fact that a body can just change up a hormone and go through these changes is amazing. It is also one of the reasons as a pansexual I don't get genital preferences because they are just the same parts flipped around. It is why gender confirmation surgery for MTF works. All babies were once pseudo-female.

That's awesome! When I finally got on HRT, I was so freaking happy that I was able to start physically transitioning and truly start being myself. And it was like a week before my 21st birthday too, so best birthday ever!

I might be able to book an appointment with a doctor about it in less than 2 weeks hopefully that works out.

I don't envy people with more dysphoria than I do but it was a bit tricky finding resources that aren't just trying to identify dysphoria.
