Winter is here...

and it brought below-freezing temperatures and at least an inch of snow. Thankfully I was able to get out and feed the abandoned cats at my grandmother's but not sure if I'll be able to get out tomorrow but will do my best as I'm the only one caring for them so what I bring them might be all they get that day. Onyx at least is looking good at Mom's in the cage with regular food, a heating pad and ointment for her eye. She's fattening up quite a bit. Aurora meanwhile is doing well here and has grown so much now that she's eating plenty and getting let out to play and get acquainted with the other cats here in the house. I just wish I could do the same with the adult cats and not just with them.
Dad's also having longer and more severe episodes now. Much of the time since Thanksgiving he's been hallucinating and acting the aggressive ass and often incoherent. Mom's not been able to get a decent sleep because of that and stressed as hell from it and I've had to feed and take care of her outside cats along with all the other cats I'm watching over. At least the kittens outside in the pen are recovering from their Giardia thanks to their medicine and have multiple heating pads to keep them warm and their Mom is looking okay in the pet carrier with her own heating pad.
My pre-Thanksgiving dental appointment meanwhile took over 2hrs to complete. Three fillings and much of it the time taken to grind away my back molar and fit it with a temporary crown (ugh that adhesive tasted like potpourri), all to the tune of $2k (so almost as much as Jaspyr's emergency vet visit). Of which btw Jaspyr seems to be doing okay, a checkup couldn't find any obvious issues and he doesn't seem to be having problems pooping and peeing (not that he's doing much of either). Won't be until next year though he gets his fur grown back in instead of having that naked kittybutt he's got now as they really shaved him close at the emergency vet for his surgery. I guess in case things were worse than they thought and had to be more invasive about his surgery.

Glad Jaspyr is doing okay as well.
At least your dental is over.
It's good that Jaspyr is doing better.
