It's the only way forward. I have a license for manual shifts, been driving around recently, now just hoping I can handle that, traffic and winter at the same time.

Went with someone to install/replace old equipment, old equipment was of different kinds, didn't have (enough) cables that fit, pilfered replacements where possible. Returned after 6 hours, learned a little bit about work, how politics can ruin work and things I cannot talk about online. As EDF reporters would say, "the chaos is increasing rapidly", very accurate to how it usually goes. Christmas means that I won't be working for a chunk of this month, but we'll see how it goes.
The company car has no built in radio, just an empty slot and it makes me think of the times when you'd see entire sections of car audio brands in stores: Grundig, Blaupunkt, JVC and so on...

yeah..... politics is not good in the work place
try as you can to keep the conversation on anything else

Oh no, it was "politics ruins work" in the way that they don't care, but "here's how the government fucked us that one time". The work itself was nothing beyond me. Might get to build/replace parts in old pcs to save people money sometime soon, you know, those old pcs offices get rid of but are perfectly capable of running simple applications. Finally, learn and use the software they work with.
