I already saw the video. It's nothing but projection and strawmanning. Frankly, the only people who see "wokeness" in movies like Aliens and Terminator 2 are the "woke" people themselves. Most other people can tell the difference between a well-written female character and one that only exists to embody the "strong female" character trope without any depth. However, SJW apologists like DarkMatter2525 can't see past a character's gender, so they project that mindset onto their anti-SJW opponents and assume they're just as obsessed with gender as they are.

If you're wondering why the anti-SJW YouTubers you mentioned aren't complaining about Ellen Ripley or Sarah Conner, it's because they aren't Mary Sues whose only purpose is to represent a political agenda. They're written as relatable characters with more that defines them than their gender. If anything, the only complaint I've ever heard from anti-SJWs regarding them is that more characters aren't written like them. These people aren't "grifters" who are fixated on gender. They simply have an issue with political agendas being prioritized over the quality of the writing in various forms of media. You can disagree with them all you want, but at the end of the day, what they really want is good writing. It's called having standards.

Just look at Jeremy from Geeks + Gamers as an example. People like you can accuse him of being a fake Star Wars fan all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that his favorite fictional character is Ahsoka Tano from The Clone Wars. He even has a pet dog named Leia. But wait! Those are strong female characters! That means he should think they're "woke" characters, right? Nope! He doesn't have a problem with female characters in movies and TV shows. What he does have a problem with is forced political pandering, and that's always been his main point of criticism.

The whole idea behind using "woke" as an insult is to shine a light on identity politics and the people obsessed with it. Has it become an overused term? Sure, but that doesn't mean you can generalize everyone who's ever used it. Culture war brain rot like the video above only serves to discourage healthy discussions by replacing valid criticisms with stereotypes to laugh at, which is toxic.

The reason is simple: the people making these kind of videos, like Jeremy from Geeks + Gamers, they don't care whether a character is well written or not. All these guys are seeing is a female character who is capable and can fight and think for herself and that pisses them off. I mean, how often do you see these guys running their mouth to complain and bitch about the female character of something that isn't even released yet, that literally nobody has seen as of yet?

Every time a female protagonist is mentioned, these losers are getting triggered. Is the character well written? Is the story good? Doesn't matter. They see female protagonist, they go "oh, female protagonist = bad" and they immediately start hating on it from the release trailer.

The only times they don't is when they get to dress them up as skimpily as possible like Eve from Stellar Blade so they can jack it while playing.

Just look at how many of them are making dumb videos on how Ciri from The Witcher 4 is suddenly ugly, with something like Shadiversity ever saying bullshit like Ciri was ugly even in The Witcher 3 and Triss and Yennefer were also ugly... With Shad arguing that Ciri's nose isn't feminine enough or some shit like that... like her friggin nose isn't feminine enough so she's ugly now? Are you friggin kidding me?! So fucking cringe XD

I can see a video "Everyone Hates Naughty Dog" with the thumbnail having "Woke Trash" written in it and showing a pic of Intergalactic's protagonist, the earlier mentioned asian chick with shaved head...
