Any advice on how to get more views?
I feel like my art is really improving lately. I'm really enjoying my latest pieces, and I feel like my style is coming together.
However, the views just aren't improving. I don't know if it's a lack of skill, or lack of interest, or if there's something else going on.
I'm open to constructive critique. If anyone has any. I've asked around, and I haven't really got any yet. Just compliments, which is really nice to hear too! But I'm dying to get even better.
I just don't know why I'm not getting any views. On twitter I'm getting like 6 views on my pieces, and it totally confuses me. On FB/Instagram (which I kinda hate using, since I have to censor myself, and stuff get cropped), I'm only getting a few views and maybe like 1 or 2 likes from family only, if I'm lucky. I can't tell how many views I'm getting on Bluesky, so that's a little weird. Plus they keep marking all my stuff, like ALL my stuff, as "sexually explicit content," which bewilders me.
Anyway...

Catering to a specific group (or fanbase) can help boost your audience and give you the drive to get better as long as it is something you like. However, it can turn some into a one trick pony and grow stale (I find). Added on that the fear of stopping that art and losing your audience.
With your current stuff, I would say rendering and anatomy can be improved and possibly more experimenting with backgrounds, but your color is starting to show consistency. Color, contrast, balance, composition... on the first view are important to catch attention from the browse page. It is also why thumbnail drawings are helpful.
I can go deeper and say time of day you upload, tags, subject matter, how you use the tools, even animal (for FA) also play a role. But the base line is about improving your art skill.
I'm probably not someone who should give advice because I don’t have an audience really and I have a lot to improve on. I tend to draw personal stuff and I lack time to really sit down and focus on finishing my own stuff. It’s hard and it’s a lot of trial and error, but you don’t lose when you improve you just need to find your niche.
Sorry for the long text and if none of this makes sense.. It's like a spiderweb for me where it's all connected and not that simple.
