Can I have a hug/encouraging words of support?

Hi guys, I usually dont make posts like this but I saw something online today that rubbed me the wrong way. I was in this online forum for the The Amazing Digital Circus fandom where people were "shitposting"; and someone posted pictures of the bootleg characters and the canonically white character got changed to black in the fake figure. So then a bunch of people were complaining about the bootleg saying "That's not my Ragatha!!!" and wanting "Blackatha" to die, which bothered me. I get that people were roasting all of the bootlegs, but the comments made towards Ragatha's character came off as snide and literally just in your face with the blatant bigotry. I told off the people making the shit comments. It's a shame when you try to enjoy a fandom and people come in to break the immersion with their overused racist crap. I just joined the TADC fandom too. I feel like a few years ago you had to go deeeep into spaces like 4Chan to deal with those kinds of people but it all seems so uch more mainstream now and makes me dislike people outside of my immediate friend/family/mutual circles. Any online hugs are appreciated. If you're going to comment anything rude just fuck off.
And yeah mainstream fandoms can be so nasty when it comes to touchy subjects like race. Black cosplayers on Tiktok face so much hatred for just trying to express themselves and show appreciation for the media they enjoy. I might just stick to places like Furaffinity, Pinterest, and Tumblr when it comes to geeking out on fandom stuff, because people just get so caught up in their hatred. People redraw characters as animals, furries, babies, different genders, different fashion choices, different occupations, etc. Like, there's no reason to say racist stuff over a character's features being changed, or over people from different races cosplaying a character that isn't their canonical race.
That said, I'm glad I cussed out the people saying the racist remarks. I know people say that it's better to ignore them but some days ya just can't "be the bigger person" any longer, y'know? It catches me off guard when it happens in fandoms where you'd think the people in it would be more wholesome, like the furry fandom or even the TADC fandom. It's gross but I didn't let it ruin my day for too long; won't let people like that live rent free in my head.
I'm so glad you're back Sparrow! Please lmk when you get caught up on TADC! So far, my favorite characters are Jax and Pomni! I will be posting TADC fanart in the near future!
