FA description formatting issues / inquiry

Right, so! Still writing tidbits off and on; still checking things off my to do list, but-- BUT! And this is an older BUT, but prescient! I tend to write things near exclusively in Wordpad.
As a result, when I write things out, they tend to be formatted with that particular elegant 4.5 inch limiting that keeps everything in a nice tidy column. Tab indentation also works as intended.
Unfortunately, while FA does support uploading documents on their own that maintains this formatting (such as in PDF files), the actual FA descriptions leave much to be desired.
I've managed to 'fix' the indentations by using null characters, but I'm wondering if anybody has a good solution for keeping things tightly bordered in FA descriptions. Line breaks don't work, so I'd have to measure out and hit enter to line break every single sentence for like... only a small handful of words. Exhausting. Exhausts me to even think about it. Zzz. Honk shoo.
Any thoughts? One of my upload descriptions involves huge horny-babble run-on sentences and I'd rather not have the page stretched out horribly wide before wrapping back around. It's so ass. ;_;
I -could- upload the description separately, but I feel like that makes it a standalone upload and the response is always so low. It's like serving gravy separately from mashed potatoes. Like, I get it, but man, these tastes taste great better together.
