Things stolen and lost
I think one of the most cruel and hurtful revelations one can experience is to realize that entire years or even decades of their life have been stolen from them, that the crucial formative moments that facilitate growth either never happened or were poisoned, leaving you maimed and broken.
Still, this revelation is important because after you get it, you can identify what is missing and work out the tools and ways of reclaiming those stolen things. Gradually, step by step, regrowing yourself into the person you should have been and who you probably always were deep down.

Can totally relate. I've been always struggling with study because I have attention deficit and am prone to procrastination and getting paralyzed by the tasks in front of me, which leads to me not being able to keep up with my peers. And of course the system or the people who are also stuck in it are not interested in adjusting to allow me to work at my own pace - instead they demand total conformity, any deviation from which is punished.

I feel that... I've lost so many years of my life due to my poor mental health + Depression/PTSD that I feel so behind to everyone around me.

Never too late to work on your mental health to start healing, though the earlier the better, of course.

The pathways of life can be wayward and ruinous, we must count ourselves lucky to survive and twice fortunate on the days in which we thrive. I wish you well in regards to your growth.
