Computer Problems HELP!!!

Ok so im working on my term paper happy as well... a bunny, when i decided to take a little break, so i go surfing a few sites, turn off the comp and go have a shower.
I return and voila a virus! I havn't had a visur on my laptop since i got it, now fortunatly i managed to save my term paper and am working on the family comp, but ARRRGGGHHH XD
I don't know if any one can help, but im running my Window Defender now and hopefully that will work.
Any tips?
It shows up as Antivirus Live, and is popping with with "warnings" plus it won't let me run certain programs claiming tha tthe file is infected T_T. And it decided to open up random websites like porno and viagra X_X.
I really dont wanna have to take it to Staples or something else dumb. Any Advice?

anyways if windows defender can't get rid of it (which is most likely) i would install an antivirus on a usb drive from your families comp then start up the infected one in safe mode which should keep the virus from starting as well and then run your antivirus of course if you have another antivirus other than defender on the computer already you can skip the bit about the usb stick I personally use either avira antivir or avg for it as well as running spybot search and destroy along with its resident program which will keep registry changes from happening without your consent for the most part.
